Firstly, we thoroughly clean the area and teeth to be treated, and apply a gel that microscopically roughens the surface of the teeth (you won’t feel this happening). This helps to create a surface that the composite material can stick to. Then, layers of tooth-coloured material – perfectly matched to your teeth – are applied and sculpted to create the tooth shape you’re looking for. Finally, the tooth, or teeth, that have been treated are smoothly polished to look and feel like the rest of your natural teeth.

Unfortunately not. Because of their unique material, whitening gels don’t work on them. We recommend you get your teeth whitened before you have your composite bonding treatment, because they can then be matched to the shade of your teeth for a natural appearance.
In some cases and depending on the severity of the misalignment, we’ll recommend teeth straightening before composite bonding. However, composite bonding might be enough to mask any minor teeth misalignments.
